Wheel of Fortune:“Make the Best of It”

IMG_1655.jpg

Wheel of Fortune : Jupiter

"Old Style Tarot", "Circe Tarot", “Tarot Metal”,

"Pulp Tarot", "Gustave Doré Tarot," “Terra Volatile”

The "Old Style Tarot" shows a wheel with a kingly figure perched triumphally at its top. One figure makes his climb to unseat the king while the bottom man suffers a reversal of fortune. At its hub, the eye of Providence keeps this spinning since God’s Will is the driving force behind fluctuations of fate. Although luck is fickle, the men on the wheel aren’t victims to destiny. Executing free will choices while staying adaptable to shifting circumstances is the strongest form of resiliency.

The 3 hooded Fates in the "Circe Tarot", spin (Clotho), measure & distribute (Lachesis) & cut (Atropos) the thread of people’s fate or life. The 3 sisters controlled destiny & ensured that every being live out their assigned but elusive destiny. Appreciate the blessings when they come. Take nothing for granted. Change is constant-even the bad times will break & a new chapter will begin. This is life.

The “Tarot Metal” shows the ouroboros & the mascots from Megadeth, Dio & In Flames. The snake creates itself anew by consuming itself. Everything has its cycles & the only thing you truly own it your character traits. Developing your unique inner qualities prepares one to manage life’s ups & downs. Play to your strengths & you will do well.

"Pulp Tarot" version displays a playing card from the “Game of Life”. Luck, taking chances, & suffering the consequences of choices made are illustrated here. But how to play? Astrological glyphs show Aquarius (reason), Leo (courage), Taurus (service, sacrifice & strength) & Scorpio (dedication in seeking higher knowledge).

In the "Gustave Doré Tarot," we see a young woman shooting dice on the deck further illustrating the chances/gambles we made in this game. Stressing the importance of personal responsibility & creating your own good fortune when navigating the capricious nature of Lady Luck. If the dice roll against us, we should not take it personally. It would only cause more suffering.

“Terra Volatile” version of the Wheel of Fortune shows a man still desperately grasping gold coins as he descends from the Wheel inevitably leading to a type of Hell. The woman thankfully is rescued from the flames reaching the top towards the angel. The Wheel, a symbol of time & mortality, warns putting your faith in material things such as money will inevitably let you down. Spiritual values are the only thing you can rely on when the world shakes.

Guidance for May 20th, 2025:

8 of Wands: “Believing Can Be Seeing”

IMG_1656.jpg

8 of Wands: Mercury in Saggitarius

"Old Style Tarot", "Circe Tarot", “Tarot Metal”,

"Gustave Doré Tarot," “Terra Volatile”, "Tarot of Oppositions"

The "Old Style Tarot" shows a powerful Divine Being directing his potential into new territory. It’s sending sprouts to develop roots somewhere else. Is it a journey? Relocation? Its unstoppable propulsion is shooting in one direction & you’re traveling at the speed of light. Good news comes in about advancement or progress predicting-you’ll soon be very busy.

In the "Circe Tarot", we see flaming projectiles, direct & on the move, hurling toward its target, the City of Troy. The fire will become expansive & far reaching in no time, having life-changing consequences. Suspended in midair, it finds its mark. Anything in question, finds a conclusive answer-You know for sure now.

The “Tarot Metal” version further demonstrates the rapid-fire nature of this card, shown by the action of a dynamic drum solo. A bold deed that quickly moves to advance its goal, refusing to be restrained.  Here, creativity seeks to expand, to play, to test the limits of what is possible. While the speed has the potential for things to get out of hand quickly, you can adapt to the results & make them sing for you.

In the "Gustave Doré Tarot," we witness Samson destroying the Temple of Dagon illustrating forces of nature or sudden events causing excitement & the need to move quickly. Life can come at you fast, faster than you can even think.  Little time to consider minute details, one has to react/act while things are in quick motion. In dramatic times, one is hurled into another direction.

“Terra Volatile” version of the 8 of Wands pictures the large eye of Providence – Divine Will expanding one’s vision of what is possible. Very soon you’ll be expanding beyond what you presently know. Symbolizing the creative & visionary aspect to this card, the wands are in alignment with Divine Will & in sync with a higher plan.  Inspired, you’ll intuitively know when it’s time to move on & how to organize in manageable, realistic steps with clarity.

The 'Tarot of Opposition' depicts a young, enthusiastic boy leaping confidently over a small wooden fence, exemplifying swift & decisive action when opportunity presents itself. And the fumbling delay one experiences when the forces seem to be lining up against your efforts. Abandon if it just seems to be a lost cause.

Guidance for May 13th, 2025:

5 of Wands:  “Survival of the Fittest-Sharpen your Claws”

IMG_1648.jpg

5 of Wands: Saturn in Leo

"Old Style Tarot", “Terra Volatile”, “Tarot Metal”,

"Gustave Doré Tarot," "Circe Tarot", "Pulp Tarot"

The "Old Style Tarot" shows two men in tights sparring, with one getting bested by the other. One is losing to the opposition while the other has taken this chance to shine. A faulty mistake creating not only a bruised ego but a missed opportunity. Perhaps he’ll learn through his defeat where he needs to improve his skill or come better prepared next time. The grapes on the vine, symbol for resurrection, indicate that he’ll return to fight another day with humility.

“Terra Volatile” version of the 5 of Wands pictures young boys engaged in a play battle which could easily turn real if one hit harder than intended. What starts as friendly competition, could escalate, inflaming tempers. They’ll learn how to control their will, gain confidence and skillfully exert their creativity as they play or fight amongst themselves.

The “Tarot Metal” version further illustrates the competitive spirit as 2 guitarists put their creativity & technique to the test. It’s a thrill to rise to the challenge as each approaches the piece as individuals each with their own vision, skillset and style. Eager to show the other what they are capable of, they may learn a couple of new tricks.

In the "Gustave Doré Tarot," we find Jacob wrestling with an angel symbolizing a clash within the self. Being at odds with ourselves can create the largest obstacle in our life. We can become so embroiled by irritations & minor inconveniences that we war against anything that crosses our path. Reevaluate the situ & allow the better part of you calm the turmoil within.

In the "Circe Tarot", we see figures working at cross purpose, neither seeing the other as they weld their will & perspective blindly. It’s difficult to be heard with such a clash of egos. To get anything accomplished, you’ll have to acknowledge various viewpoints & opinions and make efforts to coordinate & cooperate.

"Pulp Tarot" is the picture of violent contention. Tensions simmer in this pressure cooker. People do not fight fair, overpower us, enacting their will/agendas against ours. “Every wo/man for themselves” pushing for survival, expressed as undercutting behaviors or jealousy.  But it’s within this hostile environment where we are pushed to strive & survive despite disappointment, defeat or unfairness, we are forced to face loss, perhaps toughen up a bit & bite back harder next time to emerge the victor later.

Guidance for May 6th, 2025:

3 of Cups:  “Expect Good Things & Enjoy Them”

IMG_1641.jpg

3 of Cups: Mercury in Cancer

"Old Style Tarot", “Terra Volatile”, "Pulp Tarot"

"Gustave Doré Tarot," "Circe Tarot", “Tarot Metal”,

With the warmer days of Spring ahead of us, we are encouraged to spend time with loved ones & the closest of friends. Just like those sweet days of summer, we must celebrate when we can since the “good times” don’t last forever.

The "Old Style Tarot" shows a community experiencing camaraderie & merriment, group bonding over a maypole activity. General rejoicing at the return of summer & the growth of new vegetation. Both women & men are joined in friendship & play, joyously participating; followed by abundant feasting & drinking no doubt. This party would be looked forward to all year, anticipated with excitement. Friendly bonds are reinforced & enjoyed; a good time is surely had by all.

In the "Circe Tarot" we see 3 women, perhaps sisters or friends, cups raised toasting the deep bond of love, support & compassion they share for one another. These are YOUR people. True, real & sincere, they celebrate your successes & enrich your life.

“Tarot Metal” version shows 3 friends at a rock concert signifying the importance of balance of work & play. You may need to blow off some steam, forget your troubles and heal from the stress of the last few weeks.  Give yourself a break and enjoy some music, food/drink & festivities with some good buds.

“Terra Volatile” version of the 3 of Cups showcases the Three Graces coming together to perform a ritual to the Ephesian Artemis, with her multiple breasts symbolizing her fertility.  Often known as the pregnancy card, some may soon attend a happy social event welcoming a new baby or engagement.

In the "Gustave Doré Tarot," we see The Three Witches or Weird Sisters from Shakespeare's Macbeth. Here it illustrates coming together for a common cause or perhaps making a compromise for the greater good. Usually a cheery card, this may warn that too much pleasure could bring pain. Excess may not only bring a sore head but damaged relationships. Party responsibly.

The "Pulp Tarot" pictures 3 ladies who look as if they walked in from the Mad Men typing pool. An ill-dignified 3 of Cups could warn of gossiping, cattiness & a false friend within your group. This could be a clique that is keeping you on the outside. Toxic & fake, they can turn an evening sour. Just a mean girl b*tchfest. I'd stay sober around this lot.
